Re: Washing on a lift
If you are on a Corp of Engineers Lake they may fine the crap out of you if you get caught or someone turns you in. You can use a power washer, just don't use any soap. You can also get a sponge mop to scrub all scum lines off and swab the deck.
Well that is exactly where I'll be so good to ...

Washing on a lift
So, may be a silly question but I'm new to the world of boat lifts. I was able to get a spot in the local marina with a lift, water and electric. And the dock is covered to boot. My question is what is the proper etiquette for washing while on the lift? And more specifically using a cleaner. I've ...

Re: New member at Lake of the Ozarks
I just purchased my first Cobalt. I just recently retired as a Fire Captain from the Maryland heights Fire District in St. Louis County after 43 years. We moved to the LOTO in 2017 to enjoy retired life. We live at the 19mm and I soon realized my 21' Ranger Fish & Ski wasn't a great boat on the ...

Looking good A7! Did you get a chance to use it this weekend?
I think we are going to get this 15x5 inflatable one from Costco, they are $100 off right now. When we aren't using it, will deflate and roll up in the ski locker with the other tubes.

Re: Average age of a new boat buyer.
Never bought a "new" boat but I was 48.3 when I bought a "new to me" boat in September, not far off average.

Is that some fresh lefse I see on the table?
Calm morning with the kids still asleep. At ages 13, 18, and 21 they aren’t as excited to wake up early on Christmas to open presents like their younger days. Either that or the 18 and 21 year old are sleeping off the Cranberry Moscow Mules from last ...

I'll be naming my 206 "FRICTION LOSS" When I operate the fire engine's pump at a fire, I have to make sure the nozzle team has exactly 100 psi at their nozzle. The amount of pressure that is eaten up in the hose and appliances and pump is called....wait for it.....friction loss. There's even a nice ...

I am just going to leave this here:

Soooooo, that route goes right through Des Moines. Biggusblockus is about 10 minutes from the Interstate and I'm about 20. We poor public servants have to work weekends and I work the 13th and 15th. Taking a "day off" is 24 hours of vacation for me ...

Just found this thread and I'll echo previous sentiments that it is really neat to hear what everybody does or did for a living. Seems to be a very diverse group and I like it.

Re: Swim platform fitment
The dealer where I got my 206 is a Cobalt dealer, I may hit them up and have them run some numbers. Incidentally, I waved as I drove by Sunday and Tuesday...helluva game Monday night. Cold but well worth it.

Swim platform fitment
So, in my introduction post Big Block Power pointed out this swim platform he found on eBay. Its for a 2014 210 but says it will fit other models and years. The transom/rear end of the 210 is similar looking to my 206 and I'm wondering if it will fit or how much modification would be needed to make ...

Re: Hello from Iowa
Ok we are here to help you spend money. So I would buy this swim platform and see if it will fit or I would modify it a bit to make it fit. You can buy the brackets and the step no prob. Parts for Cobalts are easy to come by.
Also the dash pieces can by replaced by the factory ones as Yt found the ...
