I've always had it run to the edge of the texture. Doing the same on this boat.austin.booth wrote: Tue Dec 15, 2020 9:00 am Are you running your SeaDek to the edge of the platform? Or to the edge of the knurling/texture?

Made a quick video walking through the installation of the extended swim platform. Hope it is helpful to others thinking about installing one:

Me too!! I love it when they get excited to help. I let them go as far as they want with things just to see what they do.

Final proof done for our Aquamarine Deck for our Cobalt 292, after the last round of adjustments. Got the entire interior laid out, and also added our extended swim platform and the bow anchor lid as well. Going with gray over black in the "cascade b" pattern. They were able to make adjustments for my added custom popup ski pylon and other areas. Excited to get the final pieces in. I'll do a full walk through video of the cleaning, prep work, and installation once it comes in. We had Seadek two boats ago, and MarineMat on the last boat. So far the team at Aquamarine Deck had been a pleasure to work with and more professional by a longshot compared to our experience with the previous companies.
And just 1 week later, it shipped and should be here tomorrow! Excited!!

Got the shipment in today. Just pulled out a couple pieces to see the quality. Even at just a quick glance it's easy to tell that the machining on these Aquamarine pieces is much cleaner than the Seadek and MarineMat we had on our last two boats. Very excited to get it on the boat in the next week or so.

Mind if I ask how much that cost you?
I’m using a local guy. They measured my boat last Tuesday.
I’m going with ultralon. Supposedly thicker and more uv resistant. It is thicker than the sea deck sample they showed me.
I was quoted $1640 including $100 fee to cobalt for use of the logo.

Base price without the extended swim platform was around what you're paying. But keep in mind I'm on a 292 and theres a lot more ground to cover than the 262. I bet it would land around 12-1300 for yours. I would highly recommend you give them a shout to see what they can do for you.rabiddawg wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 9:52 am Mind if I ask how much that cost you?

And to add to my comment about the machining being much cleaner, what I'm referring to is the smoothness of the cuts, the amount of left over fray and boogers at the cut edges, and how smooth the actual cuts are. To me that shows that they take their time, let the machine run slower, and keep sharp cutting bits on the machines. Versus trying to get the machines to go faster and trying to extend the life of cutting bits by letting them go longer than they should. I wish I still had a piece of my old Seadek and MarineMat to take a side by side photo for ya'll. Between the three I would say the Seadek was better machining than the MarineMat, and now the Aquamrine product is even more superior machining than the previous two. It's pouring rain here today, but I may pull it out of the box to see how it all looks

Thanks, I was just curious. Here in south La. some businesses are notorious for their “oil field” pricing. Seems these guys are in line.

Oh, if that includes installation then that is a smokin' deal. Can't wait to see how it turns out!rabiddawg wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 11:03 am Thanks, I was just curious. Here in south La. some businesses are notorious for their “oil field” pricing. Seems these guys are in line.

I wish. We had a lot of things going on these last few days. Aiming to get it installed sometime this week.
Re: Here it goes again - 1999 Cobalt 292 Refresh
Waiting on a warm day to install. According to recommendations you should install when the weather is over 60f. But I'd rather at least 75f so I am certain to get good adhesion. Pulled a few pieces out of the box and it all looks really great. I like how they numbered all the pieces to match up with the diagram too. Should make figuring out what goes were a lot easier.

Got the rear section installed today. Very happy with the quality and fitment so far. I'm actually very impressed with how well the sections fit so far.
