Trojan Deep Cycle are the best. You will pay more though
For a flooded lead acid true deep cycle, they are the best. However, not very good for a start battery especially with late model fuel injected engines.

I would wet sand and polish all scratches if not through the gel coat on the blu. For the gouge in the white I would clean it up and use white marine epoxy and and sant to form then polish easy fix.

Nice work! Use a little silicone when installing the screws to help lock it in. If it does come loose you can repeat the process with minimal effort.

If you can get the other screw out, you can apply upward pressure on the bracket and unscrew the stripped out one. Fill the screw holes with epoxy and redrill the correct size and reinsert the screws. It is possible that wont work , but that is how I would attack it if the screw was stripped and I ...
