Re: changing exhaust flappers (land or sea)

I`m assuming this is for thru hull exhaust? If so I don't see why you couldn't. I used to have an inboard with flappers just below the waterline and they didn't really seal against the pipes. As I understand it, the purpose of them is to keep water from flowing back up the exhaust and into the ...

Just spoke with Heritage Trailers and that stud is welded in there!

Yes that's The other brand to buy. Just leave the handle in The truck. Or buy a spare. People like to steal them also. Fyi
Good advice!

Re: Problems with Bimini Top

That doesn't look like my setup.

Editing as I just realized it looks like you have the sport interior which I think has a different tower. Does yours have the logo that lights up? Mine does not and I have the notch at the base.

Pictures? There has to be an easy way to solve this.

Here is the setup:

The pictures show the stud setup and one picture shows the welded tube containing the stud. One picture indicates the holes that are just too narrow.

Re: Heads Up on Heritage Trziler Fulton F2 Winch Combo.

I'm not much of a machinist. My assumption is the aluminum winch relies more on its mass and cast structure for strength so I have been hesitant to drill into the winch body. Drilling out one of the bottom holes of the trailer mounting plate is doable (if I buy a half inch drill) but unfortunately ...

Heads Up on Heritage Trziler Fulton F2 Winch Combo.

Looking to upgrade to a 2 speed winch since we trailer exclusively and I am both trailer wrangler and boat pilot. Purchased the F2 winch with its easy mounting system only to find my Heritage trailer's 3 bolt system inexplicably uses a top center bolt that is mounted in an entirely enclosed location ...

Re: New Member, New CS22

Beautiful boat! That red oval really pops. That trailer lighting is crazy. Did the blue LED lighting come with the trailer or did you add that?

Good advice on the two speed winch. I need to get one. The only point of consternation in my boating last year was rarely getting the bow fully up on the ...

Re: lake Geneva area Surveyor

I used this surveyor in 2019:

Certified Marine Surveyors

First and only time I have used a surveyor but he did what he said he would do and I received a 19 page report with plenty of pictures. I couldn't find my invoice and honestly can't remember the cost, but he ...

Re: Mercury Marketing

I grew up with outboards and grew to dislike them. Part of it was "grass is always greener" syndrome. I would watch the I/Os glide by without that loud smoking protrusion on the back and they seemed a class apart. I know today's outboards are a completely different animal (I get the Dockline ...

Mercury Marketing

So I receive these monthly "Dockline" newsletters from Mercury as I'm sure many on here do as well.

I had notice a trend of pretty much constant outboard material with nothing regarding sterndrive setups (forward drive a few months ago excluded). Its been a tough few weeks and at the end of another ...
