Forgot to mention on my original post, there is a surface spider crack in the gel coat by the swim platform. Never see it when using the boat but it’s visible when it’s up on the trailer. It was there when we purchased in 2019 and hasn’t changed.

We definitely have that side mounted bracket, but I can't confirm if it's the exact one shown with that latch on the side... will have to wait until we have access to the boat on Friday.

Can anyone confirm whether this post will work with the factory side table bracket on the 242?

I believe Garelick makes them for Cobalt but I’m not sure if there are multiple models.

Thanks Drill... I do have all the manuals. They’re in the boat, so will look it up next time I’m out.

Mine is pretty much unreadable, so I’d still like to replace it if I can identify the right manufacturer and part.

Having a few problems with this gauge... the LCD seems to have gone bad. It’s very dim and difficult to read. It also misreads depth CONSTANTLY and alarms (very annoying).

Questions:

- can this gauge (far left of gauge cluster) be replaced?
- is there a way to disable the audible depth alarm?

I'm trying to determine whether I should self-install a new head unit, amp, speakers and sub in our 2011 242. I've done plenty of stereo installs and am confident with the design/wiring, but how difficult is it to get wires where I need them? I will definitely need to run some speaker wire and ...

Checked with Crutchfield today and they claimed that the remote heads would work with a new Sony head unit so I’m going that direction.

Does anyone know if the Sony remote heads can be used if I upgrade to a newer Sony headunit? I'm only replacing the headunit to get Bluetooth and would like to leave the remote heads in place if possible.
