Running wires in 242

I'm trying to determine whether I should self-install a new head unit, amp, speakers and sub in our 2011 242. I've done plenty of stereo installs and am confident with the design/wiring, but how difficult is it to get wires where I need them? I will definitely need to run some speaker wire and possibly a new amp power / ground wire.

For those of you that did a professional installation, any general price range I can expect to have the pros do it? I'd rather not put the boat on a trailer and drag it all the way across the metro for a bid.

The wires are not that hard to run. It all just takes time to do it right.

Had 6 JL Speakers, 10" JL sub, a new 8 channel amp installed, and added bluetooth to my existing MB Quart head unit in my 2011 242 winter before last. I also installed underwater lights, interior LEDS, and a dash mounted controller. All in about $11,000. I used what I considered to be top of the line components.

Labor quote just to install the speakers, amp, and sub (all in with new wiring) was $2274. The company wasn't the cheapest, but were supposed to be the best in town. In the end I was disappointed in their work, but the system sounds great even though I kept my old head unit.

Pulling the wiring is no big deal. There are cable trays which you can access thru the speaker holes, and in the port forward storage (where your existing amp is mounted).
