Trim Level
Trim Level
I have a 2022 220 with a VP DP 250. What percentage trim do you use when at cruising speed?

I have a similar boat (23 cs22 w/ same engine) - but the digital readout for the trim is useless. By the time it reads over 0, the outdrive has been held down for 7 seconds and is a third of the way up. Does yours also seem to do that?

Re: Trim Level
My 220 has a dedicated analog trim gauge to go with the digital one. They match. They both start moving as soon as you press the button up or down.MnSeabalt wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 9:31 pm I have a similar boat (23 cs22 w/ same engine) - but the digital readout for the trim is useless. Re: Trim Level
There should be a calibration process - different based on the gauge I think. In general, you trim the drive all the way down and then set the calibration to indicate that the drive is down. I have the Medallion gauges with an analog trim gauge and a digital - I calibrated it in the Medallion setup once, mine synch up and both start "moving" as soon as I start trimming. Not that the gauge is not a handy reference, but I generally trim by feel.

Re: Trim Level
What trim level do you use to put a 220 onto the trailer. I know the trailer type, ramp angle etc might make a difference but just curios.
