Three mystery beeps - what are they?

I have a 2017 Cobalt R3 and Sometimes 30 seconds after starting i hear 3 beeps. It also does this sometimes when i just stop somewhere for a moment. No idea what this is and can’t find anything in the manual about warning beeps. Anybody know what these are? Thanks! Dave

I can’t speak to 2017, but on the 2023 you turn the boat ignition one station to the right where you will hear the three beeps. In explanation, and as I understood it, that first turn of the key is basically readying the electronics of the engine. Truth is, all i know is that during the explainer I envisioned animated little electronic creatures standing in ready position. To actually start the engine, turn the key to the starboard side and RELEASE - where it will snap back to that “ready” position, but engine running. Im guessing if you are just turning the key to ignition without waiting for the three beeps first you’ve got animated creatures scurrying to catch up - thus the delayed beeps.

Thanks for chiming in and for the info. That all sounds like it makes sense. The weird thing is, sometimes the boat does the 3 beeps if I've been driving for awhile and then pull back on the throttle to an almost idle position. The boat then beeps again. Wonder if maybe there's some gremlin I've got in the electronics or my starter that's causing the boat to think that it's just restarted again? I haven't updated the operating software in the past 2 years, maybe doing that will fix this bug.
