Part Identification

Anybody know what this part is called or part #? (Circled in yellow) It’s a 2013 242. It’s discolored and it bothers me, there is another one on the other side and that one is just fine. Not sure why this happened, it came this way when I bought it. It’s made out of plastic. Not sure what it does and I want to replace.

I've heard hydrogen peroxide and sunlight can whiten yellow parts. I haven't done it myself, but the chemistry sounds reasonable enough.
