Spudbutter Intro

Post by Spudbutter »

Intro time I guess...The good news is I'm no longer sleeping in my truck! That sleeping situation was only temporary in October of 2020 on my way from CA to NJ and back to CA to pick up my new to me 2013 R3, 6.2-320. I live in the Sierra foothills and by wife and I boat at New Melones Lake during the spring and fall and Lake Tahoe (SLT) in the summer. I made the jump to Cobalt from a 20' 2001 Tige Wakeboard boat that my wife and I really enjoyed. I've only had the boat in the water for 3 weeks but loved every second of it.

I'll try post some pics of the journey...

Going for the boat.... Interstate 80

Made it to PA to visit family. Picked up some hitchhikers along the way

Picked up the boat from the marina in NJ, getting it ready to head back to PA before the long haul.

Made it back to CA and uncovered the boat!

Some more pics from last summer at Tahoe and the last couple are my wife and dogs giving the Cobalt at New Melones Lake. The red boat was my old Tige.

Hello SB! What a trip! How long did it take you to clean all the bugs off the front of your truck??? The lakes look beautiful, I've been to Tahoe - it's unreal, and the Cobalt is gorgeous, enjoy!

Cool story and good looking boat!

In my mind I’m still young enough to make road trips like that. Reality says different 😀

I thought the red boat was a Cobalt at first, and started getting worked up over how low it was sitting in the water :o

Nice upgrade,

Welcome SButter. Beautiful boat. Looked light blue with the shrink wrap on. Love the color.
What’s the story with your name? Cool handle. Which mine was cool. Something like vikingslayer but they won’t let me change it.

Welcome!

We boat next door at Don Pedro in the summer (and very occasionally Melones). We've got a vacation house in Twain Harte.

Wave if you see our black A25 "More Cowbell" cruise by!

Sweet, we're out of Tahoe Meadows. I wonder if you were the same color boat I saw at Sunnyside and asked, "what kind of boat is that?" While hovering for dock parking. That was the beginning of the search which eventually lead to my NJ road trip. 🍻

Thanks. Nothing much to the name, I just like baked potatoes. And butter.
