Cs22 wraparound platform

Post by andymoler58 »

What do you think about the wrap around platform on the cs22.

I found a 2018 in mint condition with only 3 hours on it and I like everything about it besides the wrap around platform and it has the more new age cobalt logo on it.

I figure the wrap around can be a good bumper and I can get used to the different cobalt logo for the deal I’m getting and it’s a really nice boat

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Personally I love the new logo vs old letters

I think it depends on how much time you spend on the back of the boat. I like the extra area that style provides. I have noticed flared sides like the CS series were present on luxury yachts first. I think that is Cobalt's nod to luxury. I decided the function (larger surface area) was worth the look.

I think it really makes a diff if you want a full sun pad. Or storage back there. Pros and Cons of both. It's too bad they angled the platform. You lose all that space. Butt as long as you can get your butt on the end section then you're ok. Go for it. What engine? Maybe it's a 240 and that is why it's still for sale.

I just noticed the angled back platform, It is the 240 engine. I figure it can't be that bad.

They have a 2013 220 with 183 hours but comes with a trailer for about the same price that I was also considering.

1st question is why does it only have 3 hours? 2nd If it's new why did it not sell?
3rd how do you plan on using the boat? 2 people and no water sports. That makes the perfect boat then.
You have to test drive the boat the way you will be using it. Don't get the new boat giddy's get you

2-4 people just for cruising and listening to music and drinking beer you are good to go. I love the big swim platform. 0-40 mph with the 240 is impressive to me. Who knows why it was still for sale, I test drove a gorgeous R3 last year that didn’t sell, nothing wrong with it. It sold about a month later. The most I have had in my boat was 4 adults and 2 kids. With kids on the boat and it being rough out I cruised at around 23 mph. The only water sport we did was tubing. No issue. It is a good boat OP, go for it.

I have a CS23. We selected it because of the stern shape and swim platform. The layout really brings the whole boat together and makes everything usable at once. My kids start from one end of the boat and run straight to the other.

What options does it have? What’s their price? I have a 2019 with the DP240 and it’s a great engine. Very responsive to 40 and I’ve had it to 48mph with just me in perfect conditions. I had 7 adults on it the other day and was pulling a wakeboarder no problem. It surprises me all the time.

It’s priced at 43k

Looks like standard options, flagpole, extra radio control at the stern

It has the Bimini top which I wanted over the tower

That sounds like a really good price for a 18 with 3 hours on it.
Let's get pictures of it and get the papers signed.
So did you give up on the r5?

In Canada I don’t think it’s legal to have open liquor on a small bow rider. I think you need to have a head, cooking facilities and sleeping accommodation. Getting back on topic, if it fits your budget, go for it.
