1st timer on Table Rock Lake
Hey everyone, I know we have a bunch of TRL's on here so thought I would reach out to get some advice. I will be heading down to TRL tomorrow morning and towing from KC. We are staying at Indian Point as well as renting a slip. I have a smaller Cobalt - 2004 226 - pic attached, and want to know what to get some general guidance from my fellow chatters.
Any places to avoid?
Indian Point tips/tricks?
Go to spots or restaurants?
Other general guidance
Thanks in advance for any assistance. Hope to see any of the TRL's out this week/weekend. If you see ol' yeller, give me a shout or a honk.

Thanks, messed with that thing for too long. Mats are all right, they are a pain like the other mats. They dry pretty quick but that's about the only thing i like better along with the ability to replace if needed. Having to zip/unzip is getting pretty old. I will probably buy a different mat when its time to replace.

Re: 1st timer on Table Rock Lake
My boat and condo are on indian point. Honestly there isnt a ton on the point. Restaurants = lake house, tiki bar at rock lane, indoor restaurant on rock lane, and the food truck area at stillwaters. Pizza delivery is pretty much limited to papa johns or pizza world.
As far as areas to avoid.....area closer to branson and the damn is the roughest water IMO as there are lots of big boats at state park marina and the harbor. Plus state park marina is a big rental place.....along with IP marina. That said IMO no area of the lake is off limits. Just watch yourself more closely in those areas.
There are a few cliff jump spots. One across from state park marina and another called the swing across from aunts creek area. If you go south far enough past state park marina under the bridge you will be rewarded with less congestion, narower part of the lake but its scenic with the rock cliffs.

Re: 1st timer on Table Rock Lake
I will agree with TR on the roughest part of the lake being right there around the dam and State Park Marina. I also have my boat and Condo on Indian point.
If you are looking for places to eat on the lake. I suggest Lake side resort on Coney Island or the Catfish hole in Kimberling City just past the bridge. Also you can go to long creek marina at Big Cedar and eat at any of their restaurants.
As far as off the water we like to go to some of the restaurants in Branson West to stay away from the strip. Danna's is pretty good and we like Tequila's for Mexican. If you go to the Branson strip I'd advise you eat after all the shows start. they have most of the usual chains and a couple local spots.

What about these places? They can be hazardous if the water is down but you'll be fine now. I forget what it's called. Tgrace?

There's a Cobalt owner in the community where our house is, he ran his boat ashore on the far right red circle a couple of weeks agoYtmsn wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2019 2:37 pm What about these places? They can be hazardous if the water is down but you'll be fine now. I forget what it's called. Tgrace?

Yup I always swing it wide around there and watch people hug the shallow side way to close for my comfort.Fun2Fish wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2019 7:56 pmThere's a Cobalt owner in the community where our house is, he ran his boat ashore on the far right red circle a couple of weeks agoYtmsn wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2019 2:37 pm What about these places? Screenshot_20180607-080533_Messages.jpgruined his props and that was after just getting them back. I know there's a buoy that is pretty far out in the channel just east of Kimberling City bridge, by the big glass house.

I'll just post this here in case fellow boaters ever end up on the west side of Shell Knob birdge. There are lots of submerged trees/timber in the highlighted area, we're in the back of the cove and I've witnessed people lose their props.

Its towards the dam and Branson which I liked is the floating Bass Pro shop after the bridge. I didn't mind going by the dam yes it's rougher.
Yes you have the tritoon mosquitoes everywhere so watch out. They are fast and have no idea where they will land so don't dock by one.
If you don't have a chart plotter get a map
