A28 or 26SD

Post by pwjoshua »

Hello,
I am looking to buy an A28 or 26SD. My timing is sometime in the next 12 months. Ideally freshwater only. I'm based in MN but can pick up from anywhere, subject to previous statement about freshwater.
Thanks.

Hey joshua, welcome to the CobaltChat forum. So glad you found us!

Which engine are you interested in to power that boat size? Merc or VP?

Do any of these A28's work?

Again, welcome aboard mate!

I don't have a strong preference on engine size and will consider various options on both boats in conjunction with many other variables.

Thanks. I’ve seen all those. Don’t think we need a WSS. Looking to expand my search in case there are people here who have connections or are aware of other options not easily searchable.

My advice would be to call the high volume dealers as well and tell them what you are looking for. A lot of boats like this tend to sell before they hit the market.

Great advice. I will do that. Any ideas off the top of your head on the largest volume dealers nationally? Preferably focusing on fresh-water, but assume the largest dealers cover both.

I would try like Gordy's, Stokely's, Village Marina. Thats a pretty good start. And most of those aren't too far from you.

Thanks for posting the link to the boat. Looks great but trying to stay below $100k if possible.

I know of a 2013 A28 for sale in Rogers, AR. 200 hours, underwater lights, GPS, VP 430, custom trailer, captain's call, windlass. Red/white with terra (I think - darker tan) interior. Reported to be in spectacular shape. Asking $100K.

PM me if interested and I can put you in touch with the seller.
