Wonder what Cobalt /Malibu are up to? Interesting to see the replacement models?

Old news. Outdated and 10 years out of style.
The replacement is the R series.
The next step (prediction) is dumping the A40, and the new A36. Both are simply out of style with no real market.

I guess I’m hung up on my next boat further down the road, Formula, but that boat company is LOCKED in on what’s hot and what’s coming. Cobalt is in a tail spin after their premium bowriders, and hopefully the young minds at Malibu straighten out their future engineering investments.

Tuscany I grew up on a Formula My Dad had one on Lake Texoma when I was growing up. Tried to buy a Formula but closest dealer is on Lake of the Ozarks and wont come to Table Rock to service. Have to trailer to them.

Old money spenders are no longer a player because are being taken over by young money that spends freely.. Lots and lots of young tech money, and they won’t be buying A series Cobalts.
Personally, I see Malibu and other sport boats as the hot boat for young singles/couples choice. Formula and others like it positioned to attract the 40-50 year old buyer.

Same problem here Gdane. They have to expand their network, but I think they’re business model encompasses coastal regions, and not inland water. That’s where the fast cash resides.

I would agree with you Tuscany. We love our A25 but if buying new today would land on the R7 between the 2 likely. Although I will say we do love the hydraulic swim platform. I'm interested in what Malibu will bring to the table with Cobalt, with the exception of styling since the surf series is already a hit. Malibu has more to learn from Cobalt in terms of ride and comfort. I'm also a fan of sport boats as we love our water sports but personally would be in a Nautique before a Malibu.

I completely agree. As soon as I can find a A28 under 100k. Might be time to think about an upgrade
