Supposed to be getting my 220 back tomorrow. He put two new heads on it. Hoping it's not too expensive. Everyone says, "Don't sell it. It should be perfect now." But I'm pretty soured. Pretty good chance it'll get listed shortly.

I am going to get it back, and then be done with this guy. The W will definitely come from someone else, as will everything else. I haven't been updating because I couldn't stand to type it. Not sure I could even find the words to adequately portray this endeavor!!!

No why would he do that? Then he would have had to replace the cam.

Huh? He wouldn’t need to replace the cam if all the push rods are new. If he reused the push rods they would need to go back in their original position, but all new stuff wouldn’t matter.

He said he couldn't figure out what was going on with it (had a little hiccup when he ran it). He adjusted the timing chain a couple of times, I think. Then he called the other day and he said he "figured it out" that it was a "bad lifter on 6." I asked if he had to replace all the lifters (because someone thought the ticking on my truck was lifters - and would be several thousand dollars) and I was really nervous. He said he would only replace the one's that needed it and not charge me for the labor - and said my price would still be about the same. Sounds like everything he's done/been doing is still gonna come in at around $2500 (not including the clutch). If I can get out of there for under $4K I'll be happy. He thought i'd have it back by next weekend.

Got her back yesterday. He was running it on the hose when I pulled up and it definitely sounded different than when I took it in. No telling how long I was on 6 cylinders instead of 8. I think he said he replaced two lifters along with the heads. Still have the clutch to pay for too (the bill wasn’t ready).

It needs some detailing after sitting in the shop and storage shed. Momma thinks she wants to keep it another season
