The wood is glassed clear to the wall and up it. Can I make a cut up next to the wall to get rid of the bad wood and butt the new up to it?

The one pic. is upside down but it's 11:00 and i'm too tired to mess with it and headed to bed. Maybe tomorrow.

That should be OK. Make sure all edges of the new wood are supported underneath.

The floor repair is coming along despite my best efforts I'll be looking for some resin and fiberglass too.

Is that all wood in those pics HH54, or is there some rusty metal pictured as well. If it is metal, I'm curious what you use to treat the rust....Extend?

...btw, IF I did not know what I was looking at and just stumbled upon this pic, I would think it was a close up of someone's mouth--particularly their molars...at least until I turned my screen brightness up on my I-phone.

No metal. That wide support in the middle of the pic....not sure what it's called... is fiberglass over something?? Some of the old floor is stuck to it and I'll have to sand that off. The wood at the top of the pic. is 2 pieces of 3/4" plywood glassed together. The teeth looking things are foam.

I've never seen that stuff before but might be something to keep in mind having wood floors. Every thing I've found so far that's not flooring is covered with fiberglass and resin and the floor had what looked like a light coat of resin on the bottom and fiberglass mat on top but nothing on the edges. I would think that would be coated for sure but....

I read something over on THT about using Gorilla Glue to help harden the insides of soft panels. The recommendation was to drill a matrix of holes 3" apart in the soft part of the panel, fill with water (yes, with water), and start filling, working from one side to the other. The Gorilla Glue is attracted to water, and that will help it spread through the inside of the panel. As it expands, it will push the water out as it works it's way from one end to the other, and apparently will be hard as a rock after it cures.

Has anyone dealt with the outdrive ram pump? I was looking at mine when I pulled the carpet and its got a light film of oil on it,no puddles or soaked carpet, the tag says to check,oil level with the dip stick but I can't find a dip stick so how do I check the oil level?

HH are you talking about your trim motor? Can you give us some pictures? On the old bass boat that I sold the tiilt was electric so it didn't have a reservoir. If it's hydraulic there will be a reservoir somewhere.

Yea... it is the trim motor,I didn't word that very well. There is a reservoir, it kind of looks like a oil filter with a electric motor sitting on top of it with a couple of hyd.lines coming out and going to the bottom of the transom .

That oil filter looking thing maybe the reservoir. Is there a cap on it?
