My older('84) 190 project
I'm going to have to replace part of the floor, just in front of the rear seat, where everyone got out of the water off the swim ladder and the carpet all needs to be replaced but i'm not sure I want to put carpet back in so....does anyone have experience with other types of flooring? Sea dek/Diamond deck or similar things? I've even looked at the guy from Australia that does a thickened gel coat coating on boat decks which is kind of interesting,I guess it doesn't get hot. Let me know what you did for your deck. also what did you do for up the sides? Carpet goes about 14" up the side also.

This is sea grass by infinity. A vinyl flooring with pad on the back. Glue down or snap down.

Well call one of the dealers here in Wisconsin and ask for Matt in parts. They have this in stock. The letters and the flag decal. I don't knew if they have which I think is the crest one next to the flag. In sure you can polish up there holders otherwise I think YT might know where to get plaques from? GORDYS will ship it too you.

The decal.plates I ordered are for the registration sticker. They might work for this application, you'd just have to measure. They have a few different sizes.
This is also where I ordered my chrome registration numbers in Cobalt font for my 262. They look freakin awesome.

Re: My older('84) 190 project
Spent a lot of time looking at different deck covering last night...seadeck/clones, infinity seagrass/clones.I had to recharge my phone once and about used all my data looking at this and that....I run the corn train for Smithfield hog farms,it only took 14 hours to dump 15k tons of corn so I had lots of search time,man there is a lot of stuff out there...being as my deck is wood will I have to cover the whole thing instead of doing the pieces like on newer boats? How hard is it to change over to pedestal seats? My seats are nice but pedestal seats look really comfortable. I hope to have my jeep rewired and out of the way next week so I can get the boat inside then the fun should really start. :-}

Between them, eBay, and boatseat.com
You should be able to find what you want. Easy to change. now will be the time to add them and even put a bench seat across the back.

Re: My older('84) 190 project
HH I think I'd probably go with carpet again up on the sides, and I'm beginning to think maybe for the whole boat unless you just want to switch to something different.
if you go either a seadek material or anything that sticks down it's going to be expensive and a real chore getting the old glue up. By the time you sand the boat and buff it you might not want to put the time and labor into getting the glue residue removed. With a snap in flooring you can go back later with something different if you want to. Also, the carpet up the sides hasn't had any wear, right? Can you just leave it?
How much of the wood in the floor do you have to replace? When the time comes to recover you can get the template material from whoever you order covering from. Trace out what you want and send it in. When they send your material back they send snaps and you install yourself where you want them.
Seagrass or Seadek is going to be pricey. Indoor/outdoor carpet or marine carpet should be a little less expensive and will cover good.
You can sand and paint your outdrive to make it look new too. Thunder has some good pictures in his restoration thread showing before and after.
I was looking at your motor and saw that the left water hose coming from the pump up to the manifold needs to be replaced before it fails you out on the water. And at the bottom there is a lot of corrosion. Has this boat ever been in saltwater? If so you may have more issues than it's worth. If it wasn't flushed properly the motor will have LOTS of corrosion and you'll have lots of problems. That hose looks like they didn't shove it back on all the way.
The gelcoat cracks at the drain hole are no big deal. Those can be ground out and regelled, but I probably wouldn't do anything to it.

That hose/water pump does look like a problem looking for a place to happen its on my list of thing to work on. As far as I know the boat has never been in saltwater, the guy I bought it from owned it for 18 years and just used it on reservoirs/lakes around the St.George, southern Utah area. There very well may be new carpet going in instead of seadek or seagrass for now,it looks like I can do the carpet for about $140 if I do it myself and not much more if its cut and snaps put in by whoever I get it from and like Ytsmn said and maybe go with something nicer later. After I get it buffed/sanded out it might be time to take it out and run it and won't want to still be trying to get a floor in also.

Re: My older('84) 190 project
No matter what you go with carpet why's you can still replace the front seats to captain seats. Just glue and cut the carpet to size. Hi with a nice light Gray. You will be happy. I did like my dark blue in my donzi. Not sure what that carpet was made from but it never got hot. Surprised me.hoghead54 wrote: Sat Dec 30, 2017 9:45 am That hose/water pump does look like a problem looking for a place to happen its on my list of thing to work on.
