Finally picked up our 2021 R6 Surf VP 380 and have been on it ever since. Beautiful boat with a huge wave. Did have a STBD actuator fail but it was replaced by the dealer and no problems since. Great customer service.

Great looking boats. My R6 Surf wave is a lot bigger than my friends Mastercraft! However he does have more control over his wave but when he’s done surfing he’s not running across the lake in any rough water

Great photos and that is the color scheme we are going with! Have to admit a little jealous seeing these photos pop up. Ordered 3/3 and still no production date given to our dealer.

Did you get a head or did you make that storage only?

Taking the head out. Really no need for it. Do need the storage.

Beautiful boat JMATRE1!

Have the head in mine...keeping it since I have lots of women in family. Got a porthole for it also, which I would highly recommend as it lightens things up.

Only glitch so far with mine is that head door pops open when going over big waves. Son had to sit in front of it and keep it closed during a rough afternoon ride on Tahoe. Dealer taking a look at that.

Really enjoying boat so far...I am still in learning mode. Lake will be much quieter the next few weeks so perfect for easy rides.

Congrats JMATRE1! and carrera; thanks for the updates. Just as an update for others, I took a dealer position on Jan 7th for an R8s with an expected delivery on June 7th. Latest info from dealer this week is that the boat is in production, but no estimates on completion or delivery.

Holy cow the last snowmobile I considered buying was a 50th anniversary cross country but I couldn't spring order one with an 800 and lost interest if the sport was turning solely to 4 strokes. The next winter we sold it all. I just can't believe it's been that long ago.

Ha, my last snowmobile purchase was a '97 Polaris XLT. Ordered it Labor Day 1996. Rode it for 15+ years.

Back to R-series orders discussion!

Well the head door is an irritant/inconvenience that can be fixed, but today I went out to the buoy for a morning ride and couldn't get the boat to power up. Put the battery on "merge" to get both batteries working, but nothing. Dealer came out and noticed a lot of water in the bilge, so what they think occurred was a leak somewhere, and the bilge was constantly working. Batteries were both dead.

Probably there is a screw that wasn't properly sealed. They are taking the boat out of the water today and will inspect it. Apparently (and unfortunately) this is a not-uncommon thing for Cobalt boats the last few years...one slip-up on a screw that leads to a leak.

Hopefully a quick and correct fix. Good thing you checked on it!

You are right! If I skipped coming up this week, there would have been a big problem with water onboard the next time I came!
