Service Soon indicator flashing

Hi....I am new owner of 2019 Cobalt 220S with 6.2L Merc 300ph V8. The "Service Soon" light it blinking when I first turn the key on and then goes away. Everything appears to run great.....I checked all the fluids. The local Cobalt dealer can only tell me to bring it in so they can hook up the meter to find out if any codes come up to indicate issue/service needed. I rather not take the time to pull it out and haul to dealer when everything seems to run fine. Has anyone experienced this indicator and can shed some light on what it might be and if potentially serious?

We have a 2018 220S with the same power plant & outdrive.

We get the same “Service Soon” flashing msg when first turning the ignition key on. I called Mercury when we first got the boat and they indicated that the service soon msg is part of the power on process and is normal. Our dealer didn’t know much about the msg. I asked them to check for any codes and there weren’t any. We now have 83 hours on the boat now and has run perfectly for us.

We recently had the outdrive pulled and fully serviced for first time. It was in excellent condition. I have changed the engine oil & filter, changed the fuel filter and out drive oil at the end of each season myself. So far, we haven’t had any issues.
