I've been looking at Paddle North and Mission too.

Hard to judge online, but I've seen the Paddle North and they look pretty sturdy, and both are quite heavy and expensive. Mission says 1000 denier nylon in addition to whatever rubberized plastic coating they use, which makes me wonder if they aren't all probably sufficiently durable for the kind of use we'd give it.

Update
I went with the Bote 7X7 and it fits in the compartment with the trash can in my R7 surf (under the bow seat in front of the driver). No way would I have had room for the 10x10

We love the Mission, great customer service. Kids love it. packs nicely, store it in stern storage box. These things are a little work to get inflated and deflated on the lake with some wavy water but gets easier once you get the hang of it. They are pretty heavy too.

Had a nice conversation with Paddle North this week (www.paddlenorth.com) about a Cobalt forum discount, and I think we'll likely get something worked out soon. They're big on customer service, so possibly including reaching out to them directly for a one-time coupon code each time a member wants to buy something.
