SC Series Swim Platform Lights

Post by Nflder »

Hey Guys,
First post here!

Looking for a little assistance. Recently picked up a low hour (51hrs) new to me 2017 Cobalt 25SC and I’m planning on installing a set of swim platform lights. I would like to see what people are running for lights on the SC series. The closest Cobalt dealer is a 16 hr drive...can’t stop by and view in person. Lol

Looking forward to getting this beauty on the water!

Appreciate the help!
Cheers

Hey Nflder. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

I don’t remember seeing an SC model platform light post yet. I’ll dig a little.

Any pics of your new baby? :D
Where do you boat?

Btw, baseball fan? 🤔

Again welcome aboard mate!

Hey AsLan7,
Thanks!

I did price out from local dealership, would like to see what I’m getting prior to purchasing.

I don’t have many pics yet, basically picked it up last fall, out for one sea trial and tucked away in my shop for the winter.

Boating in the Halifax, NS, Canada area.

Cheers. What dealer did you buy that from. I'm 90% sure that was the one I was working a deal on. Just a FYI call venture trailer. If you are going to trailer that boat. I believe it's too small and light for that boat. That was my first call I made. That was the dealers demo boat? He sells skidoos?great guy.
Congrats on the boat!

Hey Big Block Power,

That’s the one!
I’m planning on selling this trailer and purchasing a new one once the boat is in the water.
She’s in pristine condition and it was an awesome deal!

Yes that boat deserves a better trailer! Glad you got it. You must have bought it right before I called him back to say I would take it. I went to the website and was like s.. T it's sold.
I was just going to flip it. So I'm glad you got it to keep. Yes he was going to give it away. The dollar was so much better then the Canadian dollar it was a steal for me. He seemed like a really cool guy. Not sure if you're a snowmobiler or not but it's cool that he Sponsers them! I just told him I wanted one of his t-shirts because it's the coolest sounding dealer name. Lol
I can't say it or spell it. Lol
Willywagon on here is right by you. He makes his own alcohol. Even if you don't drink you should look him up and get him to hook you up. He was in the coast guard by you.
Congrats.

Congrats on the steal(purchase) of that boat!
I couldn't believe what he had it listed for. Are you boating in Hfx Harbour, or down the shore in the bays?
And yes, a trailer upgrade is needed.

Found a picture online with the placement of the lights. Not the greatest pic, but placement can be seen. Cobalt uses Lumitec Andros for their lights.
