Hi all,

We bought our first Cobalt the other week and were able to get out for a single cruise before we had to winterize. I look forward to picking your brains over the winter as we wait to get her back on the water.

Hi Aslan7 thanks for the welcome.

She came with the Merc Mx 6.2. we aren't a watersports couple, but we like to cruise and swim. We boat near long point on Lake Erie in Canada. We sold our center console this fall as we just weren't fishing as much as we used to. We figure we can still fish off the back in the early season.

Was used with no trailer, the dealer I bought it from deals Robalo and it was a great price for a brand new trailer. I'll pry them off in the spring for sure lol

Funny enough, it's not black but navy, the photo makes it look black though.

I was able to get the last major maintenance record from 2017. In addition to a thorough winterizing (oil and filter, fuel filter, outdrive service) I'm going to get new plugs, rotary and cap in the spring to set a new engine baseline. Compression seemed to be really good when checked.

Great lookin' boat. She looks clean and pampered already. You're doing all the right things. Cobalt builds fantastic boats; if you continue to treat her like that, she'll serve you well for years to come.
