Vessel View Mobile and twin Merc 496 Mags

I have a 2008 323 with twin 496 Mags and Bravo 3 outdrives. All of the instruments are analog. Now that they are getting older, some of them have started to become sticky or slow to respond. I was just going to start replacing them, but I have become curious about the Bluetooth Merc Vessel View Mobile module, part number 8M0115080. I can buy the module and an inexpensive 7" tablet a lot cheaper (about $300 total) than I can replace even a few of the old analogs. Lots of information on the Mercury website about it, and it appears to provide a good deal more information than what is available through the existing analog gauges. One thing I have not been able to sort out, is which additional cable do I need to link the port engine to the module?

We really like the functionality of the Bluetooth Vessel View module on our 2005 496.

Ours will just come up with "port" engine for our single engine application and is connected to the ECU at the engine. I believe your dual engine application reading gets connected to the multiwake junction box at the helm. The Vessel View was discussed in this thread a little here.

Thank you for the welcome and the link. I know where plug A is on both engines, but I have not seen a multiwake junction block under/behind the helm. I'll have to do a deep dive back there. Plug A sits right on top of the engine, easy to see and access. Access to the back side of the helm is a little more work.
