Boating Dreams(as in sleep)

Post by MnLakeBum »

This is the time of year that boating will start to show up in my dreams and I had a funny one last night. Every spring the marina that stores my Marker One and R5 drops them in the water and leaves them at a restaurant that has docks on the north end of the lake and my wife drives my son and I up there to pick them up shortly after they text me that they are in the water.

Well in this dream my son and I excitedly walked down to the dock at the restaurant for one of our favorite boating moments of the year. When we reached the docks I immediately noticed that the Marker One outboard - a Mercury Verado 350 that I’ve meticulously maintained, had been replaced with a Suzuki 250!! I called the dealer and they told me that the boat had always had a Suzuki 250 on it and luckily at that moment I woke up, lol.

Here’s a picture of what it hopefully will look like when I pick it up.

I can't think of one off hand. But what does it mean if my wife is never the one on it with me 🤔

I’m not posting those dreams of mine here or anywhere else. I just wish they would show up more frequently, like every night.

Really. He put it out there. I couldn't let him down on what he really was thinking.

I'm glad I don't have boating dreams because if they're similar to my golfing dreams; the true term would be nightmares.
I basically haven't played much golf since purchasing first boat in 2011, but still have golfing nightmares. For example, I forgot my golfing shoes, have to play in socks, first tee is off an indoor glass top table where if have to hit the ball through double doors, then get it to rise over the building across the street.
