New member in Kansas City

Post by Gezellig1 »

Hello all!
After several of you fine people helped us with a decision to get into our first Cobalt, we took the plunge and I’m finally attaching a couple pics and formally introducing myself. My new baby sits on our lake an hour north of KC.

2019 R3 Surf
Volvo 350hp (which feels perfect on our small lake)
The upgraded audio and tower (and RGB lights at night) have made this a blast so far. Put almost 40 hours on it in 6 weeks!

Thanks to all who helped me think through this ( and helped me rationalize it as well! )

Nice formal intro. I like the idea of limited size on small waterways.
Do they know R3 surf puts out more roller wake than a Sea Ray 40?🤣.
Congratulations again!

It would be a perfect 10year boat. I'm still watching for that one.

Beautiful boat! Lake Viking I assume? How do they feel about wake boats there?

Love the hull color. Is the orange in the interior a custom request?

Welcome.
Great choice in buying a Cobalt R series. 40 hours? Barely used the break in oil.
Boat is made to enjoy so I'm guessing you're really enjoying it.
Our 2019 R3 turned 75+ hours last weekend, with several more to go.
Hope you enjoy yourself here.

Thanks all! Sadly, I won’t be able to take any pictures for a couple weeks as fall sports and back to school has absorbed our entire September! Yes, we are at Lake Viking, love it. There has been a little buzz about the surf boats (though i’d say the lake is generally surf friendly) but I feel any boat blazing through the coves seems to kick up waves nearly as much. we try to keep our surf on the main channel when possible. You definitely will know if we are out, boat does stand out a bit...but we love the orange!

Interior was stocked at the marina. After six months of my kids climbing all over it in the showroom, we finally pulled the trigger.
