I am all for anybody getting out on the water with whatever means they can. It’s not beneath me to ride in a little flat bottom aluminum boat with a 40 hp old Johnson motor. You insinuated that a 240 was a joke. What impression does that give to other people that are wanting into the Cobalt family and that would be the most they could afford? It was just an ugly back at ya comment, to bad you couldn’t have just PM that to him.

Again, I’m assuming he’s young. When I was young, I did and said some pretty crappy stuff. Cringeworthy probably.

Sometimes we have to take the high road and let by-gones be by-gones.

Seriously...
So you are calling me out for joking about V6 powered boats with the justification that it could give prospective customers a bad opinion of cobalt owners? Yet you are defending a guy that said he owns a cobalt so ladies would be lining up to sleep with him in order to secure a spot on his boat?

I'll agree with John the thread has run it's course, I will let others form their opinion on who wins.

I've removed a few posts that didn't contribute to the August photos thread, and am locking this thread.

Regarding post content, we clearly don't enforce staying on topic, and rarely edit or delete posts for other things that might be infractions on other boards. But, if there's a questionable post, particularly one that is directed negatively at another member, feel free to flag it and we'll most likely edit or remove it.

The rules we do have and enforce also include not posting content you would be embarrassed to read at work or with your family, which is why we don't have a thread full of women in bikinis on boats that seems to be a staple of other boat forums. Some posts from months ago seem to cross that line and I missed them at the time. Keep it civil, and flag if there's an issue.
