Not sure what you are calling RICH!
Your driving a brand new DP boat and Mines 16 years old. RICH!
a good buddy of mine was a dealer. i would buy demo boats or year end models at a discount, then resell the following year.
that game got too expensive. LOL
Honestly though, the boat industry in general is getting very expensive.... its not just cobalt and malibu.
Yea they all are. It's crazy. Even used ones are crazy. I look at what mine is worth 16 years later is crazy. You can buy some beans new at that price. Bu and the others are just as bad. I was looking at a tow boat but in a 2007 price range yet. They don't have any of the cool stuff yet. Oh well we ourselves drive the price up too.

Tow boat pricing is insane. When we were looking I was intent on a tow boat since we wakeboard and surf, but I wasn't about to pay $60k for a 5 year old ragged out Malibu, plus it baffles me that even the 24+' tow boats don't have any kind of head.

prices of tow boats is unreal. You can price a new Malibu LSV out to almost 200k now.
On the subject of re-sale: What I have in my 2016 R7 with about 200 hours on her I can get just about what I paid. Except for the 5k stereo upgrade.
So people say boating is expensive well I wish I could get my country club entry fee back not counting the monthly membership dues!

Hahaha isn't that the truth. When we started looking I was going to buy a used R7. Well after looking at probably everything for sale in the entire country. I ultimately decided I was saving maybe 5-10 at the absolute most. So I ended up just purchasing a new one so I could exact what I want.

How about one of these?

Good Lord...the side of that boat looks like one of those Stereogram pictures. If I stare at it long enough I think I see the Pavati logo coming out right in front of me with Dollar signs floating around it and a laughing devil head...or is that Austin Keen.

They are crazy expensive, but they're at least innovating the industry. Those are aluminum hull and can be optioned with bow and stern thrusters for docking control. Pretty cool stuff. Still no head though.

For that kind of money I'd want a head, galley and a birth.
