My 2019 R5 has a PMX-8BB (guessing the above was a typo) and a PMX-1R as the in-dash as the STANDARD sound. Note that I didn't have an option, as this was the R5 that was on site, and the one we wanted, so now I'm left having to upgrade myself. I will tell you that the PMX-8BB is mounted under the floor - so if you were "sitting" in the head, looking under the floor you'd be staring at you'd see it.

If I can be so bold as to half-way hijack the thread - anyone have a nice picture (or measurements!) of where the transom-mounted speakers are on a new-ish R5?

Great info. Am I allowed to hijack my own thread? tgrace - how do you like the foam on the swim platform area? Considering the same on an R5. Wish it was snap in - once it wears out, removing glued down stuff has been an Acetone nightmare for me in the past.

Anyone have the specific model amp(s) used in R series premium and platinum (or pictures)? I called cobalt, and didnt get much. They could give me nothing on Roswell, and only a suspicion that premium on the Rs uses an M800 and M400.

It’s awesome for the swim platform because it has some cushion. But as a clean freak I would never do a whole boat with it. It should last for quite some time as the mooring cover goes over the swim platform. The snap ins do not.

Amps on the premium are an M800 and an M400 for the sub. If you add the tower speakers they do a second M400

There are two small (I think drain holes) in the rear. Speakers are centered right above them. If u add swim pad to transom walk thru, you do not have to unsnap the carpet when you lift the engine hatch.
