Hahaha I’m for sure bowrider guy. There are plenty of live on the boat guys at the marina I’m at. 90% of them never leave the dock

I like seeing youths enjoying their outings on the water. As they get older they treasure those kindred moments and continue on .

The toddler ( portrayed by child star BBP) to adult scene was very moving (sigh) .

Great video A7! And a great example of boating experiences!

We have a sign hanging at our lakehouse that talks about the 3 different kinds of people that come to the lake.

There are those that want to be AT the lake.
And those that want to be ON the lake.
And then there are those that want to be IN the lake.
Which one are you? Choose wisely.

It really makes a difference when we have friends or family that come stay with us. Missus YT and I are lake rats and always want to be IN the lake. But I'm suprised at folks who will come out on the boat and never get in the water. Or they want to stay in the lakehouse "hanging out" in the AC and never get on the boat except for a cursory ride. I've actually had this conversation before.

"How long are we going to be out?"
"We're going out for the day. We may not be back till after dark, so load the cooler and bring what you need."
"Wait, what? We're not just going for a ride?"
"Umm, no.."
"But where will we have lunch?"
"Somewhere out there."
"Can we come back in like an hour?"
"Sure, we can come back and drop you off at the dock. But what are you going to do all day?"
"Oh, I'll just go up to the house and watch TV. Maybe take a walk."
"But, you're at the lake?"
"Oh I know! Thanks for having us! We love it!"

Jeesh...

Now we always ask ahead of time which kind of lake person they are, and it makes it more fun. The "at the lake" folks come during the cooler months so we can sit by the fire and sip lemonade!

they forgot number 11 The Tow Boat guy.

The Guy that goes out and spends 200k on a tow boat so on the weekends he can sit on the deck at his lake house while his teenage kids take the boat out and break every boating law imaginable. Under age drinking, Towing a surfer in a cove full of boats tied up with each other. And burning all of Tow Boat guy's fuel. But they make sure they bring it back so Tow boat guy can go and fill her up again. Then ask for the keys again.

If you have every been to Table Rock, You have seen plenty of Tow boat guy.

They forgot row boat guy as well.
The guy that has a little pond on his property, a nature boy who lives off the grid. Prefers non power boating and fishing.
