Ha! Thunder, I beLIeve!

Man those new wheels look great! They completely change and update an interior. I'm a big proponent of changing the wheel out. I did it on both my blue 240 and black 262.

The 240 (with red piping on the seats and upholstery. It tied in pretty good)

What kind of mount is that for the Simrad?

Akro is just a windshield RAM mount. I'm just "so so" with it...
I'm thinking of mounting a little acrylic or aluminum plate that will screw into that ledge right under it that I can mount to. It would be much cleaner.

Howdy Wton from a fellow 212 owner in Texas. After our group factory tour of Cobalt last year they told me the 212 was only made for about 5 or 6 years. Seems most folks wanted the 222.

Does it stay put, or has it fallen of when it gets bumpy?

Oh it stays put. Those RAM mounts are pretty good. Pricey, but good. I'm sure you could get something cheaper but it would.probably fall off all the time.

What I like about this mount is I can stow it away if need be, as our lake isn't that big and I'm pretty familiar with it. I use it for staying in the channel when our lake is low, or navigating at night. I used it all the time when we visited Table Rock last summer, and will use it again when we go over in June.

This Simrad has waaay more features than what I need or use. You can hook them to your motor for engine readouts and data, or tie in your steering to navigate a heading when you go to bed if your crossing an ocean solo. And you can add alarms for engine alerts or forward sonar to warn of an upcoming obstacles, or downward sonar to see the bottom in 3D... Like I said, way more than what I need.

Yeah, my Lowrance is older but still way overkill for what I use it for, but I love the idea of that mount so I don’t have to drill holes.

Did you pull it off and look? You can still upgrade those. Let's do it!

Does your steering wheel look like this:

If so, it's a tapered/keyed shaft.
