Ok guys, as you have been so helpful on all my trailer issues, I have another question. I just found a ezloader trailer almost brand new for w very very good price. The question is, is it heavy duty enough. I have the cobalt 200 with dry weight of 3500 but it does have the Volvo v8 270hp. The trailer has a load capacity of 4000lbs. Is it ok, or too small?

I am going to guess no, but call ezloader and ask. Have you decided not to fix your current trailer? Call shorelander and tell them what is going on. They r good people

Oh and no on that version of trailer. EZ loader builds the premier for Cobalt. Keep looking.

Yes it’s musical trailers. I should not have sold the Shoreland’r but I did. Then I bought is heavy alll steel douglas trailer with load capacity of 6000lb but it’s a 1989. I need to replace all the wheel bearings and it may he just fine. But after pul it a bit, I’m not happy with the way it pulls. Shoreland’r was much better. Should have just doubled up the bunks but oh well. Then this trailer came up and I was think it’s like new and might pull a lot nicer.

Well for starters the Tires used on the universal trailer is a 185/80/13 is about 24 1/2 inches tall. Compared to a more common tire 225/75/15 that is 27 1/2 inches tall. So that 3 inches equates to a drop of 1 1/2 inches in ride height to axel, so another low trailer.

The load rating comes from axels and there capacity, and these series are nice but for minimal weight. Low capacity trailers risk flex... premature axel and bearing failure. This one is lower than the previous versions. Would it be easy to launch. Sure if the outdrive is still there you could float it off easy.

If the bunks ride the spray chines it will flex and seperate them within a few tows. The right trailer is out there as is the ability to have piece of mind ,and your money back in resale value with the right one.

Where’s that black one. Lower your tong so the trailer is level to 1 inch down in the nose and she’ll be great,
