I am thinking about adding a 1" red stripe above a 2" body color (white) gap, above the factory 3" royal blue stripe. Similar to the decal below with a larger red and white stripe. I am also looking at boat names and am considering WHITE NOISE (since it will have captains call).

White noise definition: White noise is commonly used in the production of electronic music, usually either directly or as an input for a filter to create other types of noise signal. It is used extensively in audio synthesis, typically to recreate percussive instruments such as cymbals or snare drums which have high noise content in their frequency domain. I think a 496 HO with captains call could fit this description!

That’ll look and sound great P8713. I like the name too.
...or maybe you should name her ‘Merica. :D

Welcome. We are in MO also. We do 98% of our boating on TRL. About once or twice a year we make it up to LOTO but we launch at the far south end of the lake at Larry Gale Access. We ventured just past 4 corners and ate at Chesney's last summer(a must) but even with our 252 the lake was rough and not much to my liking. That's why when we do boat there we stay way south and away from the hub bub.

So I said I would update once the Corsa Captains Call was on and I had more time with the boat. The weather was great with low 70's and sunny. It runs awesome and we could not be any happier with the 282!

The exhaust sounds awesome, and luckily my wife and daughter like it as well. I love the way it sounds and cannot see me turning it off very often, but the option was nice to have when we were trying to talk to my brother in-law in his boat out on the water. The total cost was $3,521.

I also tested out Slide's stern umbrella adapter. You can read about it here - viewtopic.php?f=47&t=2372

We are teaching my daughter (17) to drive the boat and she did awesome. She was very nervous in the beginning and took it easy for quite a while, but then was hammering the throttle and saying how much fun it was. I may have a speed demon on my hands!

I was a little baffled by the bimini top and how it worked with the SS arch. It took awhile to figure out that you have to take it off and turn it 180°, then it goes up just fine. I can't really say I like having to take the front off each time you use it and then want to store it up against the arch. This seems to be a 2 person job. Any helpful hints would be appreciated.

I have learned a lot from this site and even met up with LOTOHEAD and his family this weekend. They are very nice and also have a 282. They had some helpful ideas like carebag toilet liners so you don't have to have the head pumped out and deal with the smell. They also had the quick clips for the bumpers, which my wife said were unnecessary until she saw them on their boat. I appreciate all the help from everyone here.

We also finished setting up the condo after it was remodeled. I think we bought the most complicated bunk beds ever made. We had a great time and cannot wait until school is out and we can be on the lake a lot more.

Great pics P8713. Sounds like some great memories were made on the water. Love the fact that your daughter is driving her at times. Must make you a proud papa. 8-)
