Thanks Tin, yeah we've been there! It's a neat place and grown a lot from back in the day. We've even paid respects to Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane's gravesite!

Today we did needles highway. A feat of engineering skill by Teddy Roosevelt's team, and back when he commissioned these guys to build a road through the granite needles they told him it couldn't be done.
He got it done!
At the top you have to thread the eye of the needle. Several one way tunnels going up and down the other side but nothing compared to the eye. Beautiful scenery!

Then this afternoon a Turkey and her babies came walking through very calmly without any fear. I threw some popcorn out and they gobbled it up.
Sorry for the pun..

Saw on the news today that a man was arrested in a national park for harassing a bison. If this was you Yt call & someone will come to bail you out. Great pics

Someone sent that video. It was in Yellowstone and the guy was a blooming idiot. The buffalo decided he wasn't worth the time, but it could have easily gone the other way. It's the natural selection process at work. The guy needed to be arrested, so I'm glad they got him. Here is the link

And this morning its 52° as I sit here by the fire watching the sun come up over the mountain. High today at home is 98°

Here's a better picture of where we've been staying for the past few days. My wife's Granddad got this place in 1942 and she basically grew up coming here every summer. We've been here several times but it's been a long time since we visited last. Lots and lots of memories made here!
