Mooring Cover

Post by SAB220 »

2004 220 w/tower

First and upfront, I have a beautiful exact fit Sunbrella $750 Westland trailer cover from BaldMikes.com. It fits perfect fit even with the tower, cleats, reinforcements at the windshield, bow notch and recommend anyone who looking for a quality trailer cover go to baldMikes.

However, this means I'm a bit spoiled with perfection. The cover above is not a end of the day mooring cover (heavy bulky).

So back to the mooring cover search. I don't want one size fits all AND I want to be snap free. I'm thinking about buying the baldmikes cheaper sharkskin but I don't want their Quick Cinch on the P & S I want it at the swim platform (stern). I've contacted canvas shops but they want over $1200 and the boat. Other companies don't do exact tower fits. I guess I need to call Westland? They have the pattern for the boat.

I have the factory / westland cover and I don't really like it. It folds like crap. It's also kind of heavy. Some guys on here have some other materials they have used. Mine needs a good cleaning otherwise very good shape. I use it to cover my project boats that sit outside.

+1 minus the bungee. I just store mine in the Starboard forward locker without the bungee.
