I'm sure it is not leather. But to be honest mine didn't feel like it's real great leather like in a car. I have the cobalt black sticker that would fit perfect in the center.
I would buy that wheel. I love it. Glad I splurged. I just happen to click on my ebay app first thing in the morning and it just got added to the site and I grabbed it. I will keep that wheel for future boats.

The Gussi feels like plastic rather than vinyl or leather, but its' hard to beat the price. Looks nice too IMO. Only thing that remains to be seen is how well it holds up over a couple summers.

So saying you would re buy that some one again ? Did your center cobalt cap move from the old to the new..meaning does it fit? I like the first one the best but if I can save $400 going with this one....

Yes I would buy the one that I did again and again. No the center won't transfer over. Totally different. I was just saying if you got the one off ebay you could put that two inch sticker in the center.

I also thought you wanted a stainless arch?

I do want that arch. Have never been able to find one...well except that one you linked. I imagine it will be outrageous expensive but I want to see.

I'll end up with a new steering wheel, either like yours or the one before it that i really like... If I can talk myself into the 500.

I would buy the one off ebay for $150 that's just me. I would have never thought a arch would ever come up for sale like YT got but you just don't know the stainless could. That's why I didn't send this one too you right away either. With the hurricanes anything is possible. But they prob. Crushed most of those boats from irma.

Just installed a new Gussi steering wheel today after seeing it here. Purchased on eBay. The old one did not come off easy on my 2006 220 but after buying a puller tool and using PB Blaster it finally broke loose. Really pleased with the new wheel. The old one had the silver part of the center decal starting to peel up. Ready for boating season!

Looks nice. Myself I would add the cobalt center sticker to it.

The steering wheel on my 1999 Cobalt 232 is pretty loose in all directions. If I grab it and try to shake it it rattles pretty good. It feels like something is loose or worn in the steering wheel tilt mechanism, anybody know if this is very common on Cobalts?

No not common. The wheel is tight though on the shaft? I think there is a adjustment screw in the mechanism under the helm. Take a look.

Does the whole steering column move around or just the wheel itself? The center cover just pulls off and there's a nut inside that you can try to tighten if it's just the wheel. If it's the whole column, maybe your tilt lever isn't engaged all the way or loose somehow?
