Got the boat back from upholstery yesterday morning. The guy did an ok job, not great and not bad. It's not as well done as I would have liked, but looks better than it did.

I was hoping for an exact factory match, in color, design, and texture. Sun pad no longer has the gray/taupe or the green piping, and also does not have the alligator skin texture on the few parts that had it before.

Rear seat backs lost the green piping. I wish he had done some white piping instead of no piping.

Stitches are not quite straight, and whatever new stuffing he put in looks a little bit lumpy. Some of the edge piping also doesn't line up quite right with the edges/corners of the seat backs.

The off-white color is pretty close but has more yellow in it than the original. Not sure if that's because new vs aged vinyl or just a mismatch. It's subtle but you can see it if you look for it.

On a positive note, I got the new stereo put in this morning and got it all adjusted the way I want it. Nice to have a custom EQ and lots of adjustment on the head unit like crossovers and levels. Also removed the plate that said who the boat was built for.

Looks good Thunder. It's not so good when things don't line up exactly the way they should, but its an overall improvement.

When I had my 240 done the guy had a sample book of marine vinyl to look through. I got an exact match, or at least a 99% match. He told me ahead of time he didn't have the machine to do the large piping, but be could do the smaller normal stuff, so I had him do it in red. It turned out awesome. At that time I had never had an interior done so I was pretty pleased with the quality of work he did. Especially at the price I got.

I think yours will be fine. Yes, it's not perfect, and the little things will work on your OCD, but in the grand scheme of things there are no rips or tears and the stitching isn't pulled apart so you good. Be happy with it and move on to other things!

Yea that's a tough one. I would think in Az there would be a bunch of good shops around. I know time was a factor here. Yes it differently could have been fine better. It looks like he rushed it some. I think any kind of piping would have helped. It's hard to match exactly because it's not new. Did he do both bottom rear cushions too? It still looks good though.

Still an improvement so go with that! But I know what you are feeling...i did the back rear pad redone on my 190 and while it was much improved it wasn't factory... No one else knew any different but I could tell, but again it was an improvement so I was happy.

Still surprised they couldn't match those colors... Nothing that crazy about those colors.
