I've mounted 3M hangers inside the storage, the "Wrap-it-up" have a small threaded loop which works perfect with the hangers. My lines are now stored hanging under the seat and never get tangled. Got them on all the ski ropes etc. too. Best thing since sliced bread and cheaper.

I just buy the nontangling lines from as seen on tv. They work great.
Plus I use the self expanding lines to make them longer when I need them a bit longer.

Good idea there. Might steal it :)

Dropped her off a little bit ago. Guy said he'd have it done before our next outing planned for the 14th. Hope it turns out looking nice!

Very cool. T555500000. I have mine hanging in the engine compartment and laying under the seats. Also some in the fender holders in the bow.

Do they stay pretty tangle free?

Here's a photo of my lines hanging with the 3m hooks using Wrap-it-ups.

Someone had hung 2 lines on one hook. That is definitely not allowed. Didn't notice until after I took the pics. There is another hook to hang the additional line that is doubled up. Problem has been corrected.

Vinyl guy just called, he was able to match the base off-white color but can't match the gray/taupe color or the green piping. Bummer. Engine hatch will end up being all white, no green or gray accent. Stitching pattern will be matched.

Seat backs, he is going to cut the existing gray out of the current configuration and reuse as much as possible, said he'd have to cut about an inch off the edges. Green accent piping will be eliminated.

I was really hoping for the same colors and pattern that it has now, but I guess if the colors aren't out there then there's nothing that can be done. Oh well. At least the base color will be the same and the seat backs will still have some of the gray.

He said he might be finished Thursday, but for sure by Friday.

What about just choosing the colors you want and redoing it all? Get new green piping and pick colors you want. Think BBP and his technicolor dreamsical

Thought about that, but then I'm essentially signing myself up for redoing the entire boat within the next year or two, when I don't think it will need it. Plus I have no idea what I would want to do for colors. I gave the guy the go-ahead to finish it with just the white, I'm sure it will be fine. Just not the same as what it was.

I think you need to find another guy. I am having my upholstery done right now and I did a lot of research before I started. There are tons of vinyl piping colors out there and if he can't find the right piping color he can buy the vinyl in the right color, the raw cording and make the piping.

Don't settle for something you don't want just because a shop didn't want to make the effort. There are tons of upholsterers in your area, I would keep looking. If you don't....every time you look at the color you settled for you will be disappointed.

Thanks Shawn, you're probably right but I'm just going to roll with it, pick it up Friday with new vinyl and go boating. Been trying to find someone to get it done for 2 months, and at this point I just want it finished.

The more I think about it, the sun pad will be a lot cooler without the dark part, green piping would look weird if it was in the middle of a solid color. So sun pad is fine.

Seat backs will still have the gray, just a bit smaller. I'd like to have piping here between the gray and white but it's not worth scrapping this guy and trying to find someone else, especially this time of year. Everyone worth their salt is slammed with people getting their boats ready for the season.

On another positive note, I found a year old thread on THT with a guy selling a new OEM Merc transom trim switch for $30. Sent him a PM about a week ago as a shot in the dark, he responded today that he still has it. As long as he can find it, I'll be picking that up from him, can't beat the price.
