Group Buy - Aquamarine Deck Pad

I was just going through the member list and saw aqua marine deck is a member on here. 0 post counts but they are a member.

Yeah well... I like their product but...

I hope they are lurking or have a Google alert set up for Aquamarine.

When I originally asked about a group buy they said no problem. So I tried to nail the girl I spoke with down to specifics and never got an answer. And I asked several times. I asked how much a member could expect for a discount if we got a bunch of folks together to buy swim deck pads. She said just have them call in, say they are with CC, and she'll take care of them. Yeah right...

So I started this thread.

When people started calling in for a quote she changed the story to "we'll only give a discount if you buy covering for the whole boat". Thats buellchit. If thats what she would have told me to begin with I never would have started this thread. I specifically asked about swim decks for the group and was specifically told "yes, we can do something" HOW MUCH OF A DISCOUNT? Never got an answer.

Ok just want to pass this along also. I'm going with seadek and SCWake. If anyone else hits with then let me know I know of the few that are already. But they might do something but no guarantee.

But anyways the Cobalt C & the crest will not get put on without Vivant giving them permission. So they have you contact Cobalt first and get permission then send that to them. So that's just a heads up. I will let you know tomorrow on how that goes. I emailed them tonight.

I as well thank you for bringing my attention to this option. Even though, I might not have gotten a 'special' price, I feel like I saved money by not spending $900 that I was going to do with the other option I was looking at. I'm excited to get it and see how it looks on the boat.

BBP - I have submitted my template for my 212 to SeaDek last week. I should receive a quote this week. So count me in on the SeaDek purchase.

Hmmm, when we spoke to SCWake at the boat show they acted like it was no big deal to put the C logo and the word Cobalt on the deck pad. Please keep us updated on how that all works out.

Are you getting a Cobalt symbol added to yours. Who did you talk to.
This is becoming much harder than I thought. My dealer is now working with marine mat and that's even a challenge. So far striking out with cobalt but they are trying. I'll keep you updated.

Looks great. Amanda told me about a 4 week wait from now. Is that the brown color? I ordered beige.

Just a so y'all can have a comparison to grey, which looks all beached out to me. This is what WAs on the swimdeck... when it was still the McBoat.

Are you ordering direct from SeaDek or SCWake? I was going to go with Aquamarine, but they didn't have templates already set-up for the 212. When I called SeaDek same thing - nothing for a 212. But when I called SCWake they were great and informed me that they had a template and sent me a cut file the next day. I've ordered dry fit templates to confirm the fit. Should have the templates in a week or two.

I'm going with 2" teak over black. Lower portion of my platform will have 'COBALT' on it with a rounded rectangular frame. I'm also going to mock-up the steps into the boat from the swim platform, so only the main floor of the boat has carpet (to be replaced with Sea Grass).

My boat and platform should resemble this photo, with primary difference being that the 212 has a two level platform.
