I'm a big fan of Art Pepper. Great for listening to at night on the boat.

A little semi-religous music for those who listen.

Re: What are you listening to.....
.
I love the Title of that song Driller. So true.
.
Here’s my favorite band while in grade school. The music teacher went around the room and had each of us stand individually. We had to say our favorite band. I stood and said “ELO”. Unfortunately it sounded like I said “Yellow” because I was so nervous. She said there is no band named yellow. Then all the kids laughed at me. I sat down embarrassed. Funny how I still remember that...I’m quite traumatized I guess.
.
.
And in honor of my nervousness above....
.
.
At least I didn’t take it out on the school like Jeremy did with what is so prevalent today.
(& man do my wife and I love Eddie Vedder’s voice)

Re: What are you listening to.....
Do you have an Android phone? If so, take a look at Google Chromecast Audio. They are pretty cheap, $35 I believe, and you can launch apps on your phone and cast (over wifi) to the Chromecast device, which is plugged in to your stereo. One thing I really like is that you can group Chromecast devices, which makes it a cheap way to get whole-home audio. I have 3 at home, one in the living room, one in the master bedroom, and one in our office. Have stereos in each room as well. I can play the same music in all 3 rooms at the same time. It's also compatible with Google Assistant on your phone or a Google Home device if you have one, you can start music with a voice command.Bfun220 wrote: Fri Mar 09, 2018 1:14 pm Question for you all. I have a home stereo that came out before Bluetooth was something I thought about. I ordered a bluetooth reciever to plug into one of my inputs but was wodering if anyone has some advise on the best way to link my phone to the receiver?

Evanescence is another one of my favorites. Seen them twice live, Amy Lee has an amazing voice. Last show was back a couple months ago, we were pretty close to the stage. Special bonus, my wife actually likes them too

I'm a hair band guy even though I don't have any. Zbb I saw them with Kenny Chesney and I never heard of them before and they are incredibly talented musicians. Loce them. Rodger hodgson is amazing as well. If you don't know who he is Supertramp.
So many more.
BTO rocks.
T5000 Evanescence is incredible

Ah screw it. I’m gonna blow this thread up.
Some rooftop Beatles:
Some pilots. This kid is way talented:
Floyd in Pompeii. Echoes. Tusk put on your headphones for this and talk to me about the 6:00 mark later:
We getting weird yet? Let’s get weirder!
Kimbra. You may know her from Gotye:
Next up, some guitar.

Re: What are you listening to.....
.
Some rap for YTMSN to start his playlist.
When rap hit the scenes, it was considered a fad by record companies who did not want to touch it. The most difficult part was figuring out “how to produce a short song” according to the Sugarhill gang who was the first artist to break into the US top 100 with their almost 15 minute song, Rapper’s Delight....
.
Blondie is credited with the first #1 hit song to contain rap....Rapture —very loosely based on Christian eschatology.
.
Lets just jump right to the present now (CChatters will fill in the rest) with the best selling solo rapper of all time. Say what you want about Eminem, the man is gifted in his arena...
.
Just watched this movie again last week. Great tune...
Nice combo with Rihanna...

Prince... well you guys will just have to dig. Totally underrated guitar player.
BONUS:
Talking heads complete show in Italy. Andrew Belew from King Crimson on guitar. If you like talking heads this is it:

Hey A7! Just listen to the music! Stop trying to make me conform, man!
Your point is noted. It’s hard on your phone
while you’re trying to put kids to bed and your wife is being your wife.
I’ll do better next time.
