Details please! :D

It was funny that you mentioned 90's hip hop the other day, we had a (kid-free) Christmas party last year and ended up blasting the 90's hip hop channel on Pandora for awhile. My wife is 4 years older than I am and I have a couple friends who are 5-6 years younger, so we had a 10 year age gap between the youngest and oldest people at the party. Mid-to-older ones went full (middle class white) gangster when Warren G Regulate came on, the younger ones were looking around like WTF just happened

If I'm by myself I'm blasting mostly hard rock. Shinedown, Theory of a Deadman, Disturbed, Seether, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Nothing More, Rage Against the Machine, Avenged Sevenfold, Tool, etc. My wife doesn't like my "angry music", so she's in charge of the lake playlist since she gives me crap about my stuff. She's good about keeping up with newer hip hop/pop/light rock kinda stuff. I don't know much of it, but it's music and usually has a good beat and there's not a lot that I won't listen to.
You and your wife sound just like Jeff and I...your list is identical to his...I always get on him for leaving my truck on the "Lithium" channel...lol.

Boat playlist are a good mix of everything...i like to put it on shuffle and see what happens but there is everything from Dr. Dre, SnoopDogg, Usher, Warren G, Vanilla Ice, Ludacris, Kid Rock,Beastie Boys,Dave Matthews, Justin Timberlake, Kenny Chesney, Chris Stapelton, ZBB, all my bro country (Jeff hates it) Journey, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, ...the list could go on and on...I didn't even touch on my classic country...needless to say I like variety when we are floating and drinking...

But there is never an inappropriate time to bust out Regulators of Ice Ice Baby....always gets the crowd going!
Early 90's HH. How about some Cypress Hill, Black Sheep, Tribe Called Quest, Nas... Illmatic might be the greatest Hip Hop album of the 90's.

Oh man, rabbit hole city, population: me

T550 - Tool, Rage, Jane's Addiction, Smashing Pumpkins. I'm never getting through this thread.

Table Rockin wrote: Wed Mar 07, 2018 9:17 pm Thunder your a tool fan? Do you like a perfect circle? Ive seen both in concert. JKM puts on a powerful show.

Some of my all time favorites ive never tired of include grateful dead, radiohead, pink floyd, black keys.
Perfect Circle = good.

I'm a huge Dead Head. Love radio head. Floyd is probably my all-time fave. If I had to listen to one album on an isalnd it would be Dogs. The Keys are excellent.

For our Black Keys fans that also like Hip Hop I hope you're familiar with their Side project Blacroc - features guest appearances from several hip hop and R&B acts... Mos Def, Nicole Wray, Pharoahe Monch, Ludacris, Billy Danze of M.O.P., Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest, Jim Jones and NOE of ByrdGang, as well as Raekwon, RZA and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard.

I'm also a huge Yes & Steely Dan fan as well as really all the jam bands. I saw Phish 50 times before 1996. WP. Avett Bros.

Lately I've been diggin 21 Pilots. I think that kid has some talent.

As I said this is going to take me a while.

Oh Man. Never thought we'd be talking dubstep on CC.

My kids love Deadmau5. There's some more "technically considered dub" acts out there but this will suffice.

This needs no introduction for the jazz groupies out there (like my son). For others, it's the #1 selling jazz album of all time. Still selling 5,000 copies a week.

Playing the full album while surfing the forum this morning.

Too bad he never played any of the early tracks after he took a "break". Although I am partial to a more "Heroiny" Miles - all the 70's stuff. Basically from Bitches Brew on...

That was a Miles Davis video right? I can't see them at work but I assume it's Miles, right?

Tuscany wrote: Thu Mar 08, 2018 7:27 am I’m stuck slightly in the past. I love the grunge era. I love the Seattle bands, with my all time favorite being Alice In Chains. I’m a huge fan of Jerry Cantrell, whether with Layne, and now William DuVall. Add Godsmack to that mix.
I’d say for the past 10-15 years, the only “current” groups that interests me is Tool, AIC, and A Perfect Circle.
Tool is an acquired taste, but when understanding their music, it’s not a song, it’s more musical art.
My brother was a big Chains guy. Completely agree about Tool. Concept albums are crazy difficult to pull off.

you can't. But good effort.

This was in response to Tuscany's Tool Recommendations - lost the quote somehow.

Ok. I'm leaving. Forgot Sublime on the over to soon. Janis. Jim. Jimmy (but that's for later). Curt (Someone link that unplugged).

Elton, Billy, Bowie, Freddy.

I love the straight Funk as well. The Meters, Parliament and can't forget James Brown/Maceo.

I am a huge Talking Heads fan. Tears for Fears... I love the 80's.

Some Taj Mahal when I'm in the mood and I don't know where to put it now. Holy I have so much to add, I'll just be quiet for a while now.

That’s what this thread is all about liquid . Feel free to find your music on YouTube. Then copy just the string of letters/numbers at the end in the address bar.

Paste that code between the YouTube brackets that pop up when you select the YouTube radio button here.

Keep the music playing baby ! :D :D :D
