Head Compartment Storage - R5

Head compartment storage. I put a tension rod in there for the life jackets and love the set up, but the walls are uneven/sloped and cushioned/fabric, so the tension rod doesn’t hold well. I’d like to put a bracket on both sides and put a rod there. Any tips on what size screws to use? Not sure how thick the walls are in there, especially with the fabric there. (2nd picture shows cushioned fabric, which is on right side of compartment)

I wanted to do the same thing but ultimately decided the risk was not worth the reward. Let me know if you figure something out.
The cushion on the right hand side is pulling away I have had to put new screws in it a couple times now. Keeps snaping the old screws in halve.
I was putting screws up near the door as that appears to be a thick part of that wall.

I use the head for a head.
Women need to pee, and I certainly do not want to run over to the nearest shoreline bathroom.
We have the porcelain head that flushes. Best interior option.

I drilled a small hole in an old wooden broom or mop handle.
I then inserted zip ties so I could hang each end on a hook.
Then I put large Command Hooks on each side and hooked zip ties to hold in place. No drilling required.
