Cobalt 282 Center Cushion for U-Settee

Post by Markus »

The securing straps snapped on the center seat filler cushion on my 282. It is the cushion that fills in the lounge and rests on the teak of the walkthrough. It blew out of the boat somewhere between Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and the Mackinaw Bridge while trailering the boat home. Yes, my wife thinks I am an idiot for forgetting to store it. BTW Pictured Rocks is a fantastic spot for a day of boating if you can figure out a way to get there! Before I digress any further; is there a 282 owner out there who might be able to take some photos of their center cushion and the platforms on which the cushion rests along with a tape measure showing the various dimensions? Cobalt does not have any information on this in their archives. I spoke with both customer service and engineering. I have found an upholstery shop who will do this work but it would be simpler for them if they had information that would help them template the project. I will offer the bribe of a gift card to the Cobalt Store (if that exists) or just send an apparel item of your choosing. :D Please let me know if you can help.

TIA

That’s a tough loss Markus. By chance did you happen to search near the shoreline? It might be worth the effort.

Sorry I did not make this very clear. The boat was on the trailer coming home from a day on the water at pictured rocks. Way too many miles to backtrack to search for it sadly.

Hey Steve. So glad you found us.

Any pics of your 282. That’s a fantastic model. How is she powered?

And welcome aboard mate!
