Bow thruster and steering
Bow thruster and steering
Newbie question. We are looking at a 2015 R7. My neighbor said he would never buy a boat over 25’ without a bow thruster due to difficulty steering, docking, and controlling the boat. Any perspectives on this? Do people struggle with this on R7?

Re: Bow thruster and steering
I have not heard of anyone having any issues unless your in alot of current and wind but that can effect any boat.

With wind and current it will be a handful but it is doable. If it is your first boat it will be a little challenging.. Like BBP said wind and current are a challenge with any boat. Just remember to never approach anything faster than you want to hit it!
Re: Bow thruster and steering
Good advice. I grew up on boats and have driven a lot of family boats but this is first boat I’m buying - and will be biggest.
