I was greeted with a colorful Labor Day sunrise when I got up to make coffee.

Bum, if you keep posting these great pics, I'm going to have to visit Minnesota.

Minnesota is beautiful boating country in the summer but no doubt they don't last long enough! We natives tend to embrace the warm weather when it's here which explains why we just reached 200 hours combined since early May on the R5 and Marker One.

9/11/21

Stunning day on Winnipesaukee. Water was glass for the 8 mile ride to Alton Bay. Cruised 45 mph the whole way without a thought of throttling back. Nice lunch and my kids first round of mini golf. Alton Fire Department flying Old Glory in tribute to fallen brothers and fellow Americans 20 years ago.

Also pictured is The Dive Bar, which travels to the various sandbars on the lake each day. The MS Mount Washington whose hull dates to 1888. Our marina still under the shadows of MT Major. And a picture of my daughter passed out as she often does on our Cobalt. Good advertisement for the feather soft ride.

Just a perfect day, but also pictured is my college roommate Matt. Matt always dreamed of working in finance in the World Trade Center. Shortly after college he achieved that dream and got a job working for Cantor Fitzgerald. 23 years old when he was taken from us along with 657 of his co-workers 20 years ago today. How I wish he had the chance for a long life and to raise a family. Something we all too often forget how truly blessed we are to have. God bless our troops and first responders that afford us this special life. Rest in Power Matt.

I don’t yet have a boat in Florida but I was able to get close to some dolphins on my paddle board today.

Friend took a picture of my boat the other day. I have finally been able to get up to Tahoe as the fire situation has improved. We have a couple more weeks until buoys are removed for the season.

Friend's dogs liked it!
