Re: Replacing factory stereo in a 2013 232
The biggest issue you could have is the connector at the head unit. They switched from a large connector to a small connector. Pretty basic. If it had a small one you will be all set Prob plug and play. What model had unit is in it now? Any pictures of it?
Thanks, will need to take pics next ...

Re: Shopping list for new boat owner
I keep a NOCO Boost unit on board. Haven't needed it yet but if you ever have to assist someone, that's a very handy unit to have.
For cleaning we keep way too many things aboard, but typically use a small scrub brush and a couple microfiber towels the most.
Same for tools, I keep too much stuff ...

Re: Shopping list for new boat owner
Thanks, yeah, I'm good on tool kit, was thinking more along the lines of flashlight, cleaners, emergency radios, boat hooks, fenders, etc. Maybe I just made my own list, but was hoping there was a good shopping list of "go get all these things and you'll be ready".

Re: Adding a bimini or tower on an older boat
Thanks, glad to be here. Not very handy.
Would likely have it done by a Cobalt dealer or third party. No arch or tower on the boat, and no clips for a Bimini top.

Replacing factory stereo in a 2013 232
I *think* the factory stereo in a 232 is a Sony head unit and remote on the helm. (Forgot to verify last time I went to look the boat over).
Assuming it is a Sony, curious if anyone knows if updating that stereo to a newer Sony head unit that has Bluetooth is a straightforward process, or if ...

Adding a bimini on a 2013 232
About to close on a 2013 232 that was originally delivered without a bimini top. Thinking I'd at minimum like to get a quality bimini top for some shade on the boat. Because it was not installed originally, assuming this will mean drilling into the hull. Cobalt obviously charges premium price to do ...
