Hi All,

Having some work done on my ‘99 Cobalt 190 and considering asking them to throw in a depth finder/GPS while we are at it. Any suggestions/look outs? Will be bringing her up to the St Lawrence River so need something to help me look out for those rocky shoals.

Ok. Got a laundry list of things from the cobalt dealer/service marina. None of it was a surprise, including that there is a probably saturation issue. Considering selling and starting over with a slightly larger boat. They can’t give me too much of a ballpark on the fiberglass work to fix the ...

Update: just trailered her to the local Cobalt dealer/Marina. Everyone else was perplexed by it, hopefully these guys can figure it out. Here’s a question ....

Is anyone else aware of a cobalt this age having water in the hull/stringers/delam issues? If so is it worth fixing.

it was always written off as a weight distribution issues batteries etc.


Yeah fearful this is the case. Just bought this boat- didn’t do a sea trial bc the market up here has been crazy but did run it with muffs etc and see no evidence anywhere of water retention / damage and no hull ...

Yea I asked 2 core members that owned a 190 and they say that is not normal at all. Maybe someone added lead to the bow? Just throwing stuff out there.

Here’s ours with a very slight port list due to dual batteries and 10 gallon potable fresh water shower and sink tank on that side. (Roughly 200 pounds)

Yeah the battery and gas tank are on that side but that seems like something that should be taken into account at mfg ...
