Re: Order times on a new a new R4 surf
FWIW I just I asked my dealer the same question. He told me an order on R4S placed today would be looking at delivery around October.

Re: 2016 Surf test issues today
Glad to hear it was such a simple fix! I am having ballast issues as well on my 2019 R3 Surf. Gauge reads 1/8 full (but the bottom "button" isn't filled green on the monitor, just the 2nd one up at the 1/8 mark) on the center ballast, so it won't fill. You can keep pushing it, so it will fill for ...

Has anyone used a wake shaper?
Any surfers out there who have used a wake shaper on their Cobalt? We have an R3 surf, dealer doesn’t think it will make any difference but I’ve talk to some experienced wake surfers who suggested it. For 150 bucks or so, if it could improve the wave at all it would seem like a no brainer.

Re: R30 where are you putting your boat name?
I have the same question on an R3 Surf—just no room for a name with the badging (that I don’t really want to remove). Anyone do something creative?

Re: R3 Rumble Seat vs. My Cell Phone
R3 Surf. Was able to use BobRae99 photos to access and rescue! Thanks. Took some ‘MacGyvering’. Had to use marshmellow roaster sticks from the notorious gap above to push the phone under the cooler, then another with a wad of duck tape to grab it from below after removing access panel. No drilling ...

Re: R3 Rumble Seat vs. My Cell Phone
@BobRae99, i know this is an old post, but did Cobalt send you the pic of where to drill? Not a hypothetical question unfortunately...

Re: New member in Kansas City
Thanks all! Sadly, I won’t be able to take any pictures for a couple weeks as fall sports and back to school has absorbed our entire September! Yes, we are at Lake Viking, love it. There has been a little buzz about the surf boats (though i’d say the lake is generally surf friendly) but I feel any ...

New member in Kansas City
Hello all!
After several of you fine people helped us with a decision to get into our first Cobalt, we took the plunge and I’m finally attaching a couple pics and formally introducing myself. My new baby sits on our lake an hour north of KC.

Re: Advice on buying 2019 R3 Surf
Well, apparently my wife is much better at taking pictures than I am! Here are two shots, not very inspiring ones, but you get the idea. I need to take more pics when we are back up this weekend. The one picture shows the old boat in the new boat, so sad to lose my pontoon but we are already ...

Re: Advice on buying 2019 R3 Surf
Thanks Tuscany. Unfortunately, the marina confirmed that the R5 is not an option, they would love to sell them on this lake.
I do value your opinion, space is the thing that most frightens me about a change. As mentioned, I did consider the two boat option so as to not compromise, but getting a ...

Re: Advice on buying 2019 R3 Surf
Thanks so much for the feedback so far guys! Storage is really not an issue since the lake is so small, we don’t typically go out for an entire day it’s back-and-forth if we need to. I would LOVE to upgrade to the R5, and frankly would not have hesitated if I could, but it is too long for our lake ...

Advice on buying 2019 R3 Surf
Hello all
Complete newbie to this forum and to Cobalt. As I’ve Contemplated purchasing an R3 surf over the past two weeks, I found you all and have appreciated the wealth of knowledge here (also, the candid opinions offered freely!
We are on a 650 acre lake that limits boats to 24 feet. We also ...
