Re: Need help on older 2002 263 DEPTH FINDER - not working right
Couldn’t we just replace it? It apears to be available through Hummingbird. ?
Or just hand a single beam off the transom. I’d give them a buzz and ask as you aren’t the only one having to replace this.
That Looks exactly like the part that I have in the boat?!
So it seems that this "Epoxy ...

Re: Need help on older 2002 263 DEPTH FINDER - not working right
Thanks for your answers!
Problem is: I don`t want an extra "Instrument" added to the dash (even though I normaly like "upgrades"
but in this case I want to keep the original look ....)
So I have to start a deeper look in the replacement of the transducer .....

Re: Need help on older 2002 263 DEPTH FINDER - not working right
So, I went outside and cleaned it up some.
(it is really hard to reach down there!)
I took some pictures, it really looks (and by touching it it also fells like) it has been solidly filled in with epoxy?!
The other thing I noticed:
It is not facing "straight down" but the surface ist on a certain ...

Re: Need help on older 2002 263 DEPTH FINDER - not working right
I will try to clean it up and get some more pics.
But maybe they just put it in "liquid epoxi resin" at the time of instalation and let that harden?
(The yellow material on the bottom looks a little bit like that?!)
Could that have worked?

Re: Need help on older 2002 263 DEPTH FINDER - not working right
Hello ervybody!
The boat is back from winter storage, not yet in the water but at least sitting in my driveway :D
Took a look at the sonar sensor, but it looks like it kind of is "solid" clued to the hull?
(Sorry for the "dirt" in the pcitures, I had a problem with the sealing of the steering ...

What a great job you did! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)
Chapeau!
I just bought the Mefiburn software myself, and wanted to download the Data from the ECU, but of course the controler is locked ...
(Forgot to mention: I also have a 8,1Gi-A Engine)
=> Did anyone by now obtain the code to unlock that controler?

Welcome from Minnesota! Great looking boat and the Rhine is a beautiful place to go boating. How are the water levels? We were there in early November for a Viking river cruise and the drought had the water levels at near all time lows.
Yes, this summer the water level on the Rhine river ...

Re: 263 tilt to the left an very low in the water
Hi everybody,
I own a 263 from 2001 with a VolvoPenta 8,1Gi engine in it.
I love the boat, but there is one thing I´m not able to adjust:
The boat is somewhat "tilt" to the left, and in totall very "low" in the water on that side.
(See pictures, on the right side the "white stripe" is ...

Re: 263 tilt to the left an very low in the water
It appears she’s sits in the water?
Very possible you’re having water intrusion to the inner core as possibly a result of a deep gouging or even a rear tie down hook that’s below water line.
Have the boat inspected with a water meter and or a survey expert with provisions for testing.. it ...

I know about the functions like setting the alarm etc (I wish I would have found this forum earlyer, then I would have found the manual and that would have saved me a lot of time figuring ...
