Group Buy - Aquamarine Deck Pad

Aquamarine made it right with me on my swim deck. They are going to send a replacement pad but this time they will cut it into 3 pieces so the grain (and tbe lines) are running the same direction as the upper deck.

The product only comes in 40"x 74" sheets with the grain running long. So keep in mind, your choices are running either sideways with the grain and the lines, and keeping it in one piece, or breaking it into two or three pieces and running longways for an extended swimdeck. With the fold down step or any other hatches or breakups in the templet shouldn't make a difference.

At any rate you can call Aquamarine and tell Ashley your calling about the group discount for CC. I don't think this offer will run for long, so I would call soooner than later.

Do they have the template for the R series swim platforms?

So I had been in contact with Ashley about pricing and this is the response I got from her

would need to know exactly how many boats, what they are, what they want done to get the pricing for everyone.

Thanks,

Ashley Schneider
Office Manager
Aqua Marine Deck
1020-A Parkway Industrial Park Drive
Buford, GA 30518

service@aquamarinedeck.com

So if everyone can post in here what they want I can respond to her.

Edit: she just responded with this

or they can call me individually and I can get pricing for them. Thinking we would just discount per boat. They must say they are with the Cobalt Group page.

Cool beans tgrace, I'm glad you're running with it. She asked me to do the same thing and I just told her I'd put it out there and CC members can call with their own specifications and orders.

I don't want in the middle of all that and I'm sure tgrace doesn't either, but if y'all can post what you're wanting then at least she'll have an idea of how big the group buy will be and what kind of discount they'll offer. I'm sure if several people jump in we can get a better price than just 2 or 3.

Great work on the group buy. The wife is currently out of town on a ski trip - really is tough being her. Do I dare make a decision on a swim pad without her? But you did say limited time offer...but this would mean I would also need to pick colors which in our house is a very Katie job.

This could be another one of those situations when I need you guys to do a wellness check on me to make sure Katie hasn't killed me.

Oh I think you can wait till she gets back and you'll be fine. I don't know what the "limited" time is but I don't think it's the next day or two. Maybe...

I think it would be far more fun to just order what I think the "correct" choice is and then see what happens. Have to keep the marriage entertaining. lol.

Just got off phone with Ashley. Extremely helpful and prompt in service. They do indeed have the R5 swim platform template. I'll review color options tonight, and place order. I've decided to do it this way as it's considerably cheaper than order from Cobalt Marine mat or Sea Deck. She said it's easy enough to install as a peel/stick installation. I figure if it only lasts two seasons with the dogs, I can always replace and order again. Our group buy price is only $369 for the Cobalt swim platform and that includes the Cobalt logo as well. She also indicated she'll run the group buy through end of March.

Awesome thank you for the details - did they offer to send color samples or are you just picking based on what is displayed on the webpage?

Jeff from my personal experience in regards to colors, I've had both grey and brown over black. That brown stuff POPS and the grey just seemed... washed out

With the brown interior we are definitely going brown over black. Seadeck just released a new color for 2018 that is a bit lighter brown. Katie and I saw it in person at the boat show and both thought it would look better on our boat than the darker shade of brown.

But $370 is a good price and they do already have a template for our boat. Seadeck doesn't have the template. Not a huge deal I guess.

Serious first world decisions and problems we all have.

So I just got off the phone with them. They told me on just a swim platform they cannot discount the price. They told me 320+shipping for a 262 and that is the same price she gave me a few weeks ago. She said if I was doing the whole boat she could discount me. Well I already have sea grass carpet so I was just going to do the swim deck. Just an FYI to you all if you felt like you had to rush
