Long time lurker, first time poster I think.

Finally time to upgrade the audio from stock. Part list if you're interested:
-Fusion Apollo MS-WB670 Hidden Head
-Fusion ERX Wired remotes - helm and aft (replace the rockfords)
-JL Audio VX600/6i Amp
-JL Audio M3 10" IB Sub
-Kicker KMA800.1 Mono amp
-JL Audio M3 VEX Tower Speakers (not yet purchased)

I've been slowly working on this most of the winter. Have all the wiring mapped out, installation mapped out (some in process in basement as I'm mounting on vanity boards).

Here is the ASK: Where to I install the subwoofer? I am totally open to opinions and options!

Here is where I am at...
-Spoke with Cobalt. They stated the boat has full wiring harness and sub could be located in OEM location behind helm seat. Personally, not going this route due to lack of airflow, can't install backing plate behind it, etc. Just doesn't feel right.
-Passenger side footwell - that was the plan. Granted the boat is still in storage but I have a ton of pictures of the area behind the vanity panels behind the bow seat on that side (port if you want to get granular). Based on what i see, I won't have enough depth for the sub I have, and I really don't want to go any smaller.

So - footwell on helm side? Other place on boat? Flame if you feel the need and most likely I can figure this out when I have the boat in driveway, just hoping for some friendly and help advise.

What's the depth of that sub? The subs we had installed on our 262 and 263 were in the passenger side footwell under the gunwale which worked great. Is there not room in the pic below?

Thanks much! Depth is ~5". Challenging to make decisions without the boat! Currently leaning towards helm footwell, or calling Cobalt again to see about this area (behind capt chair) as I think that may be the OEM location. And ignore the dirt, long story and it's not how I treat Argo Too.

Oh, and that is a great location you pointed out. Def will be looking at that!

Some people also put them on the side of the helm in the "walkthrough," if it's not blocked by a door or some other element. The place Aslan pointed out does seem to be the favorite, though, and it's pretty easy to access and to wire.

I think that is the route to take. Much easier that the pic i posted regardless of what Cobalt states. Project is started and I'm starting to finalize decisions.
